History
Archway Insurance Brokers was founded in 2003 by four independent insurance agencies in the heart of Silicon Valley. The four agencies were Clayton Insurance (est.1867), Dempsey Insurance (est. 1930), Micor Insurance (est. 1981) and Valley General Insurance (est. 1975).
Archway Network Agencies was created by founding member, Ron Sortino, to help independent Property & Casualty Insurance Agencies grow their business while remaining independently owned and operated.

Ronald A. Sortino
Ron graduated from Bellarmine College Preparatory in 1985 and moved on to Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo where he graduated with a BS degree in Social Sciences. He started his insurance career in 1991 at Fraser & Associates, as a Life & Employee Benefits agent. Ron got his start in the Property Casualty industry in 1993 when he became an employee of Dempsey Insurance Service, Inc. In 1998, he was promoted to Vice President of Dempsey Insurance. In 2003, he was a co-founder of Archway Insurance Brokers and is now the CEO and Owner of the agency.
Chris Vodanovich
Chris grew up in Sunnyvale, California, and graduated from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, CA.
His career in business services has been built around business development, particularly in the technology sector. It began with “Software as a Service” companies, where he honed his skills in identifying opportunities and building strategic partnerships. He then transitioned to working with companies that were at the forefront of the remote work revolution.
Based now in the San Francisco Bay Area suburb of Morgan Hill, California, his business philosophy centers on the fundamental belief that people buy from those they like and trust. Chris will manage our Business Development functions.

Eliodoro “Bong” Batingana, Jr.
Eliodoro “Bong” Batingana, Jr. is a highly accomplished Chief Financial Officer and Strategic Advisor, renowned for his expertise in scaling fast-growing technology start-ups in Silicon Valley. With over two decades of experience spanning the tech industry and Big 4 public accounting, Bong currently serves as Fractional CFO for various start-up companies, providing strategic advisory and operational services. He founded Global Flex Resources in the Silicon Valley and service delivery center in the Philippines, providing financial infrastructure and augmented resourcing support to companies in the US and Europe.
A California CPA and Certified Global Management Accountant, Bong’s background includes advanced studies in Entrepreneurship Acceleration at The Wharton School of Business, Blockchain Technology at UC Berkeley, and Advanced Negotiation at Stanford University. He is a passionate and well-rounded executive dedicated to fostering rapid growth and expansion for innovative companies.
